The 1996 ASMP Biennial ConferenceBiennial Conference attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and housing at the conference. The Biennial Committe has made arrangements for a number of price breaks and travel accomodations.
Airline Travel
Orlando is a major travel destination city with reasonable airfares at almost any time of year. Special discount airfares are available through Travel Design Group, the official travel agency of ASMP and the 1996 Biennial Conference. Please call Lisa Trent or Jill Nielsen at Travel Design Group (800) 252-0557 and ask about the "Orlando Travel Packets."
A special room rate of $99.00 per night, single through quad occupancy plus applicable tax is available to members attending the conference.
All reservations should be made by calling The Grosvenor Resort reservations desk directly at (800) 624-4109. Credit card guarantee required. Cancellations must be made within 5 days of scheduled arrival.
Generally speaking, due to the central location of the Grosvenor Resort on Disney Property and the availability of free buses provided by Disney, renting a car may not be neccesary. Airport shuttles are available as low as $12.00 each way. A rental car desk is located in the lobby of The Grosvenor for your convenience.
The following are estimated airfares for September travel to Orlando. Obviously, airfares are subject to wide variations. However, this list should at least give you an idea of the fares from different areas of the country. Delta and American Airlines have agreed to an additional 5% off. Southwest Airlines has just initiated flights into Orlando which may result in fares even lower than the above prices.
