The Business Practices Committee advances professionalism and assist our members in implementing best practices in their business affairs through educational programs, publications, and raising public awareness via outreach to the photographic community at large. The Committee is committed to open communications between chapter members, the photographic industry and other creative professionals. The Committee embraces the professional and ethical standards of the American Society of Media Photographers.
In the past the Business Practices Committee has taken the lead in producing programs aimed at addressing the issues facing our members. An example of this is the "Town Hall" meeting in April 2009 which featured a panel of professionals in the photography and advertising communities. The Committee has taken the lead in reaching out to photographers and clients as part of an educational effort regarding engaging and working with photographers.
